2022 Year In Review

There was a renewed sense of normalcy in 2022 as we made great strides with COVID.   Masks became optional and we began moving about. I traveled abroad, to photograph, for the first time in over two years — to Colombia, France, and Portugal.  It was absolutely exhilarating to be out in the bigger world again —seeing firsthand how people were dealing with the new normal. And domestically — I visited many of my new-found photography friends in LA, Houston, and Toronto; most of whom I had only met on Zoom.

I presented my Master Class Artist Talk at the Los Angeles Center of Photography — with Aline Smithson as our teacher and moderator. LACP Master Class Artist Talk

I was thrilled to learn that I was selected as one of the Critical Mass 2022 Finalists. It was a huge honor to be included on this list with such highly regarded and talented photographers.

And so excited that I will be launching my new book , The Red Purse, in the fall of 2023. I want to create a resource for people going through major losses, like losing a spouse. And create a platform for new conversations about widowhood. To talk about what is not talked about. I’ve learned it’s crucial to rewrite your life story after such a tragedy.
